About The Bergen County Broncos

imageOur Commitment is to Football !

The Bergen County Broncos Football Program was developed to help kids and their families have an enjoyable experience every time they step on a football field.

The Broncos promote family, sportsmanship, team work and the ability
to grow not only physically but mentally. We are a diverse Football
Organization. We do not discriminate against Race, Color, Creed,
ethnic background, economic status or gender.

Our goal is to be better then the ordinary run-of-the mill football
program. We strive to raise the standards and produce better all
around athletes.

Our 7 Guiding Principles

About our League:

Bergen Broncos are now members of the North Jersey Pop Warner Football and Cheer Conference (NJPWFC). NJPWFC is the feeder programs for the high schools of NNJIL, where most of our players will compete in High School. Bergen Broncos made the move to NJPWFC after spending our first 3 years reaching the pinnacle of Rockland County Pop Warner Conference (3 conference champions and 1 runner-up out of 4 squads). The NJPWFC offered access to state of the art field turf game fields and the high level of competition required to challenge our players and coaches to take our play to the next level.

We also get an added bonus of convenience. Unlike the RCPWC, the organizations within the NJPWFC field squad’s at all four levels, which simplify scheduling allowing all our squads to play at the same field on the same day through out the season. No more splitting up families on game day.

We are proud to be back in New Jersey where the best football is played. This is reflected in the fact that year in and year out Pop Warner National Champions come from New Jersey. In 2007, New Jersey produced winners of both the Pee Wee and Junior Pee Wee National Championships played in Disney World.

Jerry Cantone - Board Member

I grew up in Paramus, were I played football and baseball. I loved the competition in sports, but realized that football was my favorite. Growing up I attended catholic schools my whole life. I had the opportunity to go to Saint Joseph regional high school. I played 4 years of football and was a 3 year letterman at RB/CB. My senior year we won the STATE-LEAGUE-COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS. After high school I attended Wagner and Montclair state. I played football at Montclair and then move on to the workforce. I wanted to get back involved in sports, so I started coaching rec football and baseball in my home town of Oakland. I have two boys and my oldest was ready to try sports. He fell in love with all the sports but like his father, football has become his favorite. So I started to take youth programs on coaching and dealing with kids. I am Rutgers certify and also a board member for the Bergen County Broncos. I believe winning isn’t everything as long as you give 110%.
